Libertarians on week 1 of the Johnson campaign

Austin Petersen

Contender for LP nomination
Hey friends! I’m on my last day of vacation, heading back to Kansas City later today. I’m glad to see that the blood has cooled for many of you, but I still am seeing some negativity. Please try your best to remain positive as best you can. For many of you I think it’s best if you are upset about Johnson/Weld that you focus on your local candidates and pour your heart and energy into them instead. Otherwise, you know that I’m too full of energy and ideas to just sit this election out personally. Mary Matalin and I will be speaking next week, and I have lots of exciting offers coming at me, and opportunities for us all to grow this movement beyond our wildest dreams. Don’t be sad or upset, our youth is our advantage, since we still have time to accomplish our goals. Don’t give up hope, and don’t allow people to goad you into a reaction. I’ll be back next week, and then we prepare for the next phase because, as always… THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES!

I’m going a little bonkers at work dealing with the post convention rush.
I’ve got all the merch orders done, but none of the paypal orders, and I can’t even begin to think about stuffing membership cards.
Does anyone know anyone that could help me out, or at least someone that could answer calls, because they aren’t stopping either.
Nuts I tell ya nuts!

Trump thinks that he can discredit the Libertarian Party nominee, Gary Johnson by calling him a “fringe candidate”. That tactic will be totally ineffective because he was himself the fringe candidate of the Republican Party.
The most damaging thing that Trump could have said when asked about Johnson’s campaign would have been, “Who?”.
The Libertarian Party is in the game this time. Time to suit up and get to work!i

Re the debate about the US LP nomination I still keep seeing on my fb feed:
For the record – I am ideologically far closer to Petersen than GJ. And I am looking forward to Austin hopefully not just still joining us in Sydney for ‪#‎Friesman17‬ and running, and winning the nomination in the future.
However, in the same way that Austin classily pledged his support to Johnson, so I too continue to do the same, for, despite his imperfections, he is now the best – and only – way now to stand up to the big government, crony capitalist, anti-trade, anti-freedom Tweedledee and Tweedledum of Clinton and Trump.
So I know it was a campaign which aroused a lot of passions, but from where we are now – the choice on who to support is clear.
