Libertarian Summer Seminars

16 Feb

Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University

Vacation with a Purpose!

Do you believe that ideas can change the world? IHS
does— that’s why we offer weeklong seminars on
individual liberty and economic freedom. This
summer, we’re hosting more than 10 seminars at
college campuses across the country, featuring a
variety of topics and career angles.

Since you indicated an interest in economics when
you created your IHS account, I recommend you take
an especially close look at these seminars:

  • Morality, Capitalism & Freedom considers the
  • ethics of capitalism and the proper role of
  •  government in a free society. Core ideas will
  • lead into essential questions of our day such
  • as, “How can society solve widespread problems
  •  while respecting individual liberty?”
June 9–15 – Wake Forest University,
  •  Winston–Salem, NC
July 14–20 – Bryn Mawr College,
  • Philadelphia, PA area

  • Liberty & Society takes students with economics
  •  knowledge beyond the basics of free markets
  •  into more sophisticated arguments for liberty
  • and discussions about what a freer society might
  •  look like.
    May 26–June 1 – Wake Forest University,
  • Winston–Salem, NC
    June 16–June 22 – Chapman University,
  •  Orange County, CA
July 7–13 – Bryn Mawr College,
  • Philadelphia, PA area
