U.S. has never fully grasped the dilemma inherent in Kipling’s “white man’s burden.” It is going after a tyrannical Muslim regime in Syria slaughtering civilian Muslims but will inevitably be accused of killing Muslims if it kills the tyrants. The human catastrophe in Syria is enormous but this is a no win situation!

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if just one member of the King family had the courage to criticize Obama’s violent foreign policy from the podium today?

PLEASE NOTE: This isn’t directed at anyone in particular, so don’t anyone take offense. But…

We have 70 days until Election Day here in Virginia. I’m hearing a lot from people who say, “Oh, I’ve got this responsibility.” and “Oh, I’ve got that responsibility.” We all have responsibilities. We all work. We all have social lives. I have two jobs and work 60 hours a week.

But I want to tell you guys something, there are 70 days between now and Election Day. It’s going to get here faster than you think. So, I want you to commit to giving a few hours a week to phone bank or go door-to-door. I go on Saturdays when I’m in town (more often than not, now), and I’m going to start phone banking on Tuesday nights.

This is an incredibly important election. I didn’t get involved in politics in Northern Virginia to sit around and talk about getting folks elected.

I’m not going to tag anyone in this, but let’s get out there and do this.
