More Beef on the BBQ – The Summer’s Top 12 Hottest Libertarian Men – Objectifying Some Objectivists

4 Jul
(Unfortunately, the annual Libertarian beachwear edition of this post is only available behind our paywall to supporting subscribers.)

For those of you annoyed by these types of lists I can only tell you that some people actually beg to be put on them.  For those who think the objectification of the boys is too gay (though most of the winners below are not), well yes it is, but we will do a new list of ladies eventually, so keep your pants on.

1. Scott Eastwood

Just as Clint Eastwood took the #1 spot in last year’s list of 29 hot Libertarian men, his son Scott gets it this time.  Though it’s not clear how much time he spends reading Hayek or Nozick between gigs, he did tell Huffington Post that his politics mirror his dad’s libertarianism.

6. Baron Bond

Baron Bond is an executive of Foundation Group, a real estate
management, investment, and development company
based in Baltimore. His day-to-day focus consists of asset management responsibilities for a portfolio of multifamily communities, retail commercial centers, and land holdings in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.

Mr. Bond’s real estate development experience began in a construction trailer in Florida where he worked as a project manager for one of the nation’s largest home builders. Before the work boots got very dirty, he reverted to a more white collar environment and role within an entrepreneurial Florida company that focuses on large-scale, mixed-use development projects along the eastern seaboard.

Prior to working in real estate development, Mr. Bond practiced corporate and real estate law in New York City at the premier law firms of White & Case and Skadden, Arps.

Mr. Bond received his undergraduate degree in business in 1994 from Washington University in St. Louis where he was class valedictorian. He attended Duke University and Columbia University Law Schools, earning his J.D. in 1997 from Duke. He also received a Master’s degree in real estate development and investment from New York University in 2000.

Mr. Bond enjoys weight training, classic rock and electronica music, foreign travel, motorcycling, science fiction, exotic cars, port wine and tobacco pipes. His interests of a more academic nature include moral philosophy and constitutional law. He is a Trustee of the Reason Foundation, and on the boards of the Atlas Society and the Cato Institute.   Mr. Bond lives in Maryland with his wife and three children.

8. Alex Epstein

As anyone who has ever read an Ayn Rand novel knows, beneath the icy facade Objectivists are just molten lava.  Epstein brings his philosophy background to Randian topoi like industrial progress to sweep away cant and produce remarkable rare (albeit commonsensical) clarity. His book is The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels.
